Trey Songz accused of s3xually assaulting two women
Trey Songz is facing a new lawsuit from two women who say he s3xually assaulted them while they were sleeping, in a 2015 incident at his Los Angeles mansion.
The Bottoms Up rapper, 38, was named in a sexual assault and battery suit in which his accusers are pursuing damages from the aftermath of the incident, TMZ reported Wednesday after reviewing legal documents in the case.
Michael Freedman, an attorney for the Petersburg, Virginia-born singer, told the outlet Wednesday evening that the suit was ‘yet another example of nearly decade-old allegations being repurposed to take advantage of California’s constitutionally questionable new look back window,’
He added, ‘We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court.’
The women say they attended one of the Grammy-nominated artist’s shows in June of 2015, and were invited to afterparty; they were subsequently invited to his birthday party at him Los Angeles mansion in August of that year.
In court documents, the women said they arrived at Songz’s Southern California residence via an Uber. In order to be let on the premises, they had to hand over their phones and submit a password.
The women said that the birthday party was attended by ‘mostly women and only a handful of men,’ according to the outlet.
The women said they suspected they had drugged at the event, as they claim they had been put under duress to consume liquor from bottles that weren’t sealed, and ‘felt overwhelmingly intoxicated’ after drinking a ‘modest’ amount, according to TMZ.
