On Wednesday, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump appointed Florida lawmaker Matt Gaetz as attorney general, recognizing Gaetz’s steadfast support throughout Trump’s legal challenges and impeachment trials.
“Few issues in America are more important than ending the partisan Weaponization of our Justice System,” Trump announced on social media.
“Matt will end Weaponized Government… and restore Americans’ badly-shattered Faith and Confidence in the Justice Department.”
