President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning that the United States could wipe out Iran “in one night” as tensions between both nations continue to escalate
Speaking during a White House briefing, Trump suggested such a move could happen imminently, noting that “that night might be tomorrow night.” His remarks came just hours before a Tuesday 8 p.m. ET deadline linked to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The president tied the threat directly to Iran’s refusal to restore access to the critical oil transit route, following stalled negotiations and increasing military activity. He had earlier warned that failure to comply could trigger targeted strikes on key infrastructure, including bridges and power facilities.
Trump revealed that Tehran had submitted a proposal, but it fell short of his expectations. He made it clear that unless an agreement acceptable to his administration is reached, U.S. forces are prepared to respond without delay.
He further claimed that American forces could dismantle Iran’s bridge network and cripple its power systems within four hours, though he emphasized that such an outcome is not the administration’s preferred option.
Trump also reiterated his long-standing position against Iran developing nuclear weapons, stressing that it would not be permitted under any circumstances.
