Chess master, Tunde Onakoya is aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon at New York City’s Times Square

The purpose of the ‘Chess in Slums founder’, is to engage in a 58-hour-long chess session without a single loss.

Tunde Onakoya’s goal is propelled by a mission to successfully raise underprivileged kids .

“Doing this for the dreams of millions of children across Africa without access to education,” he affirmed.

While in New York, Tunde Onakoya has been seen playing chess and achieving victories at various events, chess clubs, and even amidst the vibrant activity of Times Square.

“On the 17th of April 2024, I will attempt to break the Guiness World record for the longest Chess marathon in the heart of Times Square New York City for 58 hours without losing a game.

Doing this for the dreams of millions of children across Africa without access to education,” he captioned the post.
