According to officials, the flight was delayed by 90 minutes because Mosaka reportedly refused to follow safety regulations, causing the pilot to intervene and delay the departure, despite the engines already running.

Mosaka, who boasts over 140,000 Instagram followers and is a presenter on MTV Base South Africa, documented the incident on Instagram Live. In the video, she can be seen engaging with police officers who ask her to leave the flight, but she insists on being booked onto another flight before complying, a request denied by the airline crew.

The influencer’s supporters have rallied behind her on social media, with many sharing the video and expressing solidarity with Mosaka.

In response to claims of racial profiling made by Mosaka, CemAir’s Chief Financial Officer Laura van der Molen stated that there was no such discrimination involved. Van der Molen clarified that Mosaka was removed from the flight because she refused to follow the airline’s regulations.
