The Oyo State Police Command announced the arrest of two individuals for possessing a fresh human skull belonging to an unidentified woman in the Amuloko area of Ibadan, the state capital
The command’s spokesperson, Osifeso Adewale, shared this information with Punch correspondent through a WhatsApp message on Tuesday.
The arrest of the suspects followed a viral video showing some residents of the state apprehending a man known only as Musa, who was found with a human skull.
Punch Metro learnt that residents had become suspicious of the suspect’s unusual behaviour in the area, prompting them to confront him and demand that he reveal the contents of the sack he was carrying.
During the inspection, the residents were filled with shock when they discovered that the man was carrying a human skull.
OyoAffairs, an online news outlet, shared the video on its X.com platform, stating, “Man caught with a fresh human head earlier today in the Amuloko area of Ibadan. He has been handed over to the police.”
The suspect reportedly confessed to being a member of a syndicate that specializes in the sale of human body parts in the state.
