Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Wednesday disclosed that its operatives arrested two suspected members of a tricycle-snatching syndicate notorious for dispossessing operators and passengers of their belongings
The State NSCDC Commandant, Olatunde Maku said the suspects were apprehended on Tuesday after allegedly snatching a tricycle at Araba Umuzocha, Awka.
Maku stated that the arrested suspects were identified as Obum Charles, 24, of No. 4 Umueze Road, Amudo Village, Awka, and Chukwunonso Ekeh, 27, of No. 36 Onueyiagu Street, Amachala, Awka.
According to Maku, the duo is assisting the command with information that could lead to the arrest of their fleeing accomplice, adding that investigations were ongoing and the suspects would be prosecuted upon completion.
