Tyla has responded to recent comparisons between her Coachella outfit and Britney Spears’ iconic 2001 MTV VMAs look
The Water hitmaker, 23, who made waves with her revealing ensemble during weekend one of the festival, returned to the stage on Friday for weekend two — this time wearing micro denim shorts adorned with beaded tassels and green feather details.
The outfit quickly drew comparisons to Spears’ denim look from over two decades ago. However, Tyla took to X to dismiss the claims.
“Love her but I just thought the outfit was fly… no inspo,” she replied to a now-deleted tweet.
When another user called her “a copycat” and accused her of being “too full of herself,” the Grammy-winning singer fired back bluntly: “Personally I think you should stfu.”
Tyla’s no-nonsense responses have sparked mixed reactions online, with fans defending her originality and confidence.
