South African music star Tyla is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico City on June 11
The Grammy-winning singer has been included in FIFA’s star-studded entertainment lineup for the historic tournament opener at the iconic Estadio Azteca, where hosts Mexico will face South Africa.
Tyla is expected to perform alongside several international and Mexican music stars as FIFA plans multiple opening ceremonies across the host nations — Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will officially kick off on June 11 in Mexico City, marking the first time the tournament will feature 48 teams across three host countries.
