Music executive, Ubi Franklin, has responded strongly to the backlash he received after meeting with top political appointees, including a recent visit to President Bola Tinubu

In a post shared via his social media page, Franklin defended his actions and made it clear that he has no regrets about associating with powerful political figures. According to him, most of his critics would jump at the same opportunity if given the chance.
He wrote:
“If any of you get the opportunity to meet even your local government chairman, I’m sure you’ll take it—let alone a president. If I get another chance to meet Mr. President, I’ll do it again and again.
If you like, keep insulting me. I’ve been abused, misunderstood, and lied against for too long, and I still don’t care.”
Franklin, who openly declared that he is a full member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said the criticism he receives often comes from people who would act the same way if roles were reversed.
“People criticize you for doing what they would do if they were in your shoes. Una go dey alright,” he added.
He concluded the post by sharing a collage of his political meetings, describing it as “the most powerful collage of all time,” and reaffirmed his pride in his political engagement.
