Gianluca Prestianni has been handed a provisional one-match suspension by UEFA ahead of Benfica’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday, following allegations that he racially abused Vinicius Junior
UEFA confirmed that the 20-year-old will miss the upcoming fixture while investigations continue into the alleged racist remark directed at the Real Madrid winger.

The controversy stems from last week’s first-leg encounter at the Estadio da Luz in Portugal, which was halted for 11 minutes after Vinicius reported the incident to referee Francois Letexier. Broadcast footage showed the Brazilian speaking to the official and indicating that a comment had been made toward him by Prestianni.
Prestianni has denied using any racist language, insisting that the Madrid star “misinterpreted what he thought he heard.”
Real Madrid currently hold a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg.
