Speaking on Lucky Udu’s video podcast, Nwokolo admitted he made a mistake but insisted Nedu pressured him into saying things that do not reflect his true beliefs.

“I’m new in the industry, so I foolishly agreed to that, and that’s what put me in the mess I’m in today,” Nwokolo said. “I went on a podcast and said the things Nedu asked me—manipulated me—to say. But I take responsibility. I’m not blaming anyone, just telling Nigerians what really happened. It’s against my character because poor girls don’t turn me on. Nedu forced and manipulated me to say that.”

He acknowledged the backlash he has received, including accusations of wanting to control women by seeking out poor girls, but insisted those perceptions are false.

“I’ve been seeing egregious comments saying I manipulate women, that I want a poor girl to use—things that are against my character. That’s not who I am. I’m so sorry. I’m just a victim of manipulation, and that’s why I’m here to clear the air.”

Nwokolo further alleged that before the podcast, Nedu convinced him by citing other controversial statements he had orchestrated.

“He told me he made Saida Boj say what she said, and now she’s popular. He said, ‘If I can make Saida Boj who she is, who are you? Just trust me.’ That’s how I found myself in this mess, which has deeply affected me in all aspects of my life.”

Nwokolo also claimed that Nedu is obsessed with generating viral moments, even at the expense of his guests’ reputations.

“He just wants views, and he doesn’t care about the damage it does to people,” Nwokolo stated.
