Kidnapped UI Ex-Deputy VC Adigun Agbaje Freed
Former deputy vice-chancellor (academics) of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Adigun Agbaje, has regained his freedom from his kidnappers
Agbaje was kidnapped along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway last Friday.
According to Professor Remi Aiyede, Head of Department, Political Science, University of Ibadan, Professor Agbaje was released on Sunday and has undergone medical checkup.
“Prof Agbaje has just been released about a few hours ago. He is okay and undergoing medical checkup,” he told Tribune Online.
Agbaje, who is on sabbatical at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, was on his way to Ibadan at about 6pm on Friday, when the kidnappers waylaid him near the Sat Guru Maharaji Garden.
