Ukraine’s military claims a successful drone strike on the Russian patrol ship Sergei Kotov, marking another Black Sea Fleet defeat
The Defense Intelligence reports Magura V5 drones hit, causing substantial damage, and a fire eventually led to the ship’s sinking.
This follows recent drone attacks, notably on the Russian landing ship Caesar Kunikov.
In February, Ukraine asserted disabling 33% of Russia’s warships, according to reports.
The Sergei Kotov, one of Russia’s newest Black Sea Fleet ships, had a reported range of 6,000 nautical miles, a crew of 80, and advanced weaponry, with a $65 million price tag.
