Activist, VeryDarkMan, has leaked series of WhatsApp messages allegedly sent by Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo, in which she accused Afrobeats icon Davido of using the late Mohbad’s case for clout
The leak comes amid an ongoing rift between VeryDarkMan and Iyabo Ojo, sparked by his earlier allegation that the actress privately apologised to Naira Marley and Sam Larry after publicly criticising them over their supposed links to Mohbad’s death.
In the newly released chats, Iyabo Ojo reportedly questioned Davido’s sincerity, highlighting the fact that despite presenting himself as a supporter of Mohbad, he continued to follow Naira Marley on social media.
She further dismissed Davido’s public show of support, describing it as fake love and branding him a clout chaser.
She wrote:
“My problem is not even the black, whatever is Davido, who flee down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley”
“That means he was chasing clout. I am so disappointed with and to think he has been saying he is the only superstar artist who stood by Mohbad, Jess fake love 001”
This revelation follows an earlier release by VeryDarkMan of group chat screenshots that showed Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh and other public figures discussing efforts to seek justice for Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023.
