Verydarkman (VDM), has reacted to singer Terry Apala’s arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges of Naira abuse
VDM had earlier accused Terry Apala and other celebrities of being involved in an extortion ring allegedly run by the EFCC.
In an update, Terry Apala was arraigned before a Federal High Court in Lagos and subsequently remanded over accusations that he stomped on the naira during a party — an act prohibited under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007.
Following the arrest, VDM responded on social media, addressing the 48-hour ultimatum Terry Apala had previously given him to take down his video and issue an apology.
Mocking the situation, VDM said he always ensures he has proof before speaking publicly.
“Terry Apala gave me 48 hours to apologize for a video I made about the alleged EFCC extortion. He said I lied and demanded an apology. Now EFCC don carry am… it’s funny how they think I talk without evidence. See how it ended,” VDM stated.
