VeryDarkMan and Seun Kuti have unfollowed each other on Instagram, signalling a fresh strain in their once-visible relationship
The development comes amid a growing disagreement tied to their differing positions on activist Omoyele Sowore’s involvement in the detention saga of cryptocurrency entrepreneur Blord.
Tensions began after Seun Kuti publicly aligned with Sowore, who had criticised VDM over his role in Blord’s arrest and detention.
Sowore had argued that Blord’s continued remand reflected deeper issues with the justice system, while also calling for his release.
During an Instagram Live session, Seun Kuti took direct shots at VDM, questioning his credibility as an activist. He suggested that while VeryDarkMan associates with wealthy individuals, Sowore maintains a more grassroots and uncompromising stance.
