Veteran Nigerian singer Gentleman Mike Ejeagha has been overcome with emotion following the resurgence of his 2010 song, “Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche”
The highlife song had been largely forgotten until skit maker Brain Jotter featured it in a recent skit, creating a viral dance challenge.
The song has since gained massive attention, garnering over 659,000 likes on Instagram and 11 million views on TikTok. It has also spread to Asian countries.
The renewed interest in his music has led to an outpouring of appreciation from content creators, with one Tiktoker, @anyigoldtv, presenting him with an envelope containing money and sharing the song’s achievements.
The heartfelt gesture moved the aged singer to tears, as he offered prayers and expressed gratitude for being recognized.
