Victor AD has apologised to Tiwa Savage over an unreleased remix of his hit song, ‘Wetin We Gain’, years after the singer recorded a verse for the project

Victor AD, whose real name is Victor Adere, addressed the matter in an open letter to Tiwa Savage admitting that he should have taken responsibility much earlier.

The remix never made it out, despite Tiwa contributing to the song.

Victor acknowledged the effort she put into the project and said he regretted how things turned out.

In his message, he wrote:

“I should have done this a long time ago, but it’s never too late to take accountability for my actions. I’m truly sorry about how things turned out.

”Thank you, Mama, for blessing my song ‘Wetin We Gain’ with a verse. Unfortunately, the remix never saw the light of day.

”I could go on and on explaining why it didn’t happen, but none of those explanations matter more than the genuine effort, love, and creativity you poured into making the song beautiful.”

He also thanked Tiwa for her contributions to Afrobeats and the opportunities she has created for other artistes, saying he would always appreciate the part she has played in his journey.

“I love and appreciate you, Mama,” he added.

Tiwa Savage responded to the apology with a short message, making it clear that she appreciated him reaching out.

“I appreciate this. God knows the reason for everything. All love ❤️🙏🏾,” she wrote.

‘Wetin We Gain’ was released in 2018 and became one of Victor AD’s best-known songs.
