Napoli and Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal
The club reportedly proposed a contract worth €35 million per season. However, sources close to the negotiations revealed that Osimhen’s financial demands were considered “too high,” leading Al Hilal to abandon their pursuit.
This marks the second time the 26-year-old forward has rejected Al Hilal’s advances, having previously declined a similar offer last summer. His refusal clearly signals his determination to continue playing in Europe.
The setback is a blow for the Saudi Pro League side, who are now focusing on alternative striker targets.
According to sports journalist Buchi Laba, Osimhen’s decision has sparked renewed interest from several top European clubs. One leading Serie A team—yet to be named publicly—is reportedly at the forefront, ready to meet both his wage demands and the €75 million release clause in his Napoli contract.
Meanwhile, Turkish champions Galatasaray have also entered the race with a serious offer. The Istanbul club aims to make Osimhen their marquee signing, viewing him as a key player to lead a strong campaign in the UEFA Champions League next season.
