A viral video reportedly from Sokoto state has sparked outrage after 161 junior secondary school students were seen packed tightly into a single classroom reportedly at Turaki Model School in Sokoto
In the trending clip, the students confirm they are in JSS1C and they are 161 in number.
The video quickly raised serious concerns online with many questioning the state of public education in northern Nigeria.
Some internet users also questioned why the State Governor gifted 1,000 Saudi Riyals (₦450,000) to each of the 3,200 pilgrims who performed the 2025 Hajj while schools allegedly remain in poor condition.

The north is very backwards. Sigh
Please improve their schooling conditions… They need to be motivated to learn… Catch them young: It’s cheaper to rehabilitated the schools than to pay for banditry ransom tomorrow. But Nigeria likes to cure, than to prevent!
