A middle aged man said to be visually impaired has been
arrested by the Police in Lagos for allegedly defiling a 12 year old girl.

The incident occurred on Friday, 20th of June at
32, Mosalasi Street, Maza-Maza bus stop where the victim lives with the suspect and other family members.

The victim started residing with the
family early January this year in a three-bedroom apartment they occupied after she was
introduced to Kingsley’s sister, Maurine who made her a housemaid to Kingsley Anyanwu’s
old mother.

According to
Vanguard, the suspect, Kingsley Anyanwu forcefully had s*x with the victim
inside his bedroom, thereby inflicting serious bruises on the victim’s private
part.

The suspect allegedly asked the victim to come to his
bedroom after his wife went to work, supposedly to help him read out a message
on his phone.

“Immediately I entered his room, he grabbed me, forcefully
removed my pants and r*ped me,” said the victim.

The victim however, ran out of the house when the suspect
attempted to r*pe her a second time. She was said to have taken refuge at a
church in her neighbourhood, and had to pass the night there since she was
scared to go back home for fear of being beaten up.

The victim’s aunt, who reported the matter to the police
after taken her to the hospital for examination, had this to say:

“I received a call from Mrs Maurine on Saturday that they
were bringing back my niece because she was wasting food and that she ran out
of the house.

“On Sunday, Mrs Maurine brought her home. When she left, I
questioned my niece, it was then she opened up that Uncle Kingsley s*xually
abused her.

“Immediately I took her to Adeniyi Jones, Primary Healthcare
Centre. After medical examination the medical officer confirmed that she was
r*ped. The report confirmed bruises I saw in her private part and the medical officer
issued a referral slip for us to go to LASUTH,” her aunt said.
