Pa James has waded in on the current saga between veteran producer Wale Adenuga, and Papa Ajasco, stating Mr Adenuga is a good guy and pays well

In an interview with Lucky Udu, the actor, famed for his role in the TV series Papa Ajasco and Company, said the show not only boosted his public profile but also brought financial gains. He noted that he was able to purchase his first car from the income he earned through the production.

“I still work with Wale Adenuga. He has been good to me. Working with him gave me more recognition than when I was in Yoruba films. Financially, he really supported me. I bought my first car when I started working with him.

Earlier, we would work back-to-back, but now, after shooting some episodes, we might not be called again for up to two years. To continue working with him today, you need a side hustle to cover your expenses.

I can act in other projects, but no one else can play Pa James because the character name has been trademarked. When I started, I was paid N2,500 per episode. Now, it’s N45,000 per episode for about 10 episodes,” he explained.
