Veteran actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has said that Nollywood introduced the Nigerian Entertainment scene to the world before Afrobeats.
She made this point on her Instagram page while sharing some clips from some epic movies she had featured in many years ago.

can we please try and make it clear to Omotola that she is not a great actress. Please, she was only hired back then mainly for her looks. Her diction is awful. She has never known how to bring her characters to life. Genevieve, Patience, Ayo Adesanya, Sola Sobowale to name a few are living legends. Omotola please, you are not casted because the new has and still does better than you. So it was not your Ije that introduced 9ja to the world. It was genevieves acting in the Ije movie.
