White House hosted reality TV icon and businesswoman, Kim Kardashian to discuss criminal justice reform. She joined Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House.
The meeting followed President Joe Biden’s recent pardons for 11 individuals and sentence commutations for five others convicted of non-violent drug offences.
Kardashian, known for her advocacy on criminal justice issues, has visited the White House previously to push for reform.
The roundtable included pardoned individuals sharing their post-incarceration experiences and initiatives. Harris praised Kardashian’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of second chances.
Kardashian stressed the importance of sharing personal stories to raise awareness and foster understanding. Her previous advocacy efforts, including meetings with President Donald Trump, have been instrumental in advancing criminal justice reform.
