Reality TV star and singer Whitemoney has shifted his focus from winning a Grammy Award to targeting the Headies Award, citing concerns over the credibility of the former
In a recent interview with content creator Egungun, Whitemoney revealed that his initial dream of winning a Grammy has lost its appeal due to perceived compromises and a decline in its prestige.
Instead, he now prioritizes winning the Headies Award, stating, “The way things are going, the Grammy has lost its allure. Let’s focus on the Headies.
While I’m not ruling out the possibility of pursuing a Grammy in the future, my current goal is to win any award that keeps me relevant.”.
Whitemoney’s decision comes after the controversial treatment of Nigerian superstars Davido and Burna Boy at the last Grammy Awards ceremony, which he believes was a publicity stunt.
Despite this, he remains open to the possibility of winning a Grammy if his unique music style takes him there.
