Pastor E.A. Adeboye, RCCG’s General Overseer has explained why he no longer has female secretaries
He made the decision due to concerns about potential risks of being alone with women late at night. Pastor Adeboye says it’s a personal precaution, not gender discrimination.
He praises his past female secretaries, calling them dedicated and exemplary. He prioritizes avoiding situations that could lead to misunderstandings or danger.
Adeboye said:
“From the moment I got to a stage where at night I still have to work, I cease to have a female secretary. Some people think it is gender discrimination. I know myself. I know who I was before Jesus saved my soul. I know the possibility of dangers, being left alone. At night, with people of the opposite sex. Oh, but if you were to get a secretary like the last one I had, she was a wonderful child of God. She saved a very wonderful child of God.
“She was my secretary at Ebute Meta. Wonderful lady. True child of the living God. And when I got here, I know I will see you in the office at 3 a.m. Now can we imagine, after a long day work, everybody finally we have seen the last visitor. And then my secretary comes and says, At 2 a.m., we are through now, sir. Is there any way I can help you? You know, a cup of tea to relax. At 2 a.m., Jonah…”
