Actress Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha has shared the fascinating story of how she prepared for her role as Queen Amaka in the Netflix series Seven Doors
To bring authenticity to her character, Chioma embarked on an immersive journey to learn fluent Yoruba, a language she didn’t speak prior to the role.
In a recent TVC interview alongside co-star Femi Adebayo, Chioma revealed the extent of her preparation, saying, “I had to learn Yoruba specifically for this role, and it wasn’t just any Yoruba – it was a specific dialect with a unique tone.”
Seven Doors, which premiered on Netflix on December 13, has received widespread acclaim for its engaging storyline, memorable characters, and outstanding performances. The series boasts of an impressive group of casts, including Femi Adebayo, Adebayo Salami, Jide Kosoko, and other Nollywood legends.
