The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has revoked land allocations belonging to former President Muhammadu Buhari, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume
Additionally, 759 other prominent individuals and organizations in Maitama II, Abuja, were affected by the revocation due to non-payment of the Certificate of Occupancy fees.
The FCT Administration released this information in a publication shared with Channels Television by the Special Adviser to the FCT Minister, Lere Olayinka.
In a separate statement, the minister also issued a warning to revoke land allocations belonging to the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Kingsley Chinda; former Senate Presidents Iyorchia Ayu and Ameh Ebute; Senate Chief Whip Tahir Monguno; and 610 others for failing to settle outstanding fees for their Certificate of Occupancy within two weeks.
This action follows several previous appeals by the minister to FCT residents, particularly those in high-profile areas, urging them to settle outstanding fees or face the revocation of their land allocations.
