Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has described the planned “EndBadGovernance” protest as politically motivated

The nationwide demonstration, scheduled for August 1, aims to address issues like corruption, insecurity, and other national challenges.
According to PUNCH, Wike believes the protest is intended to distract from the progress made by President Bola Tinubu’s administration since taking office in May last year.
He urged Nigerians to be patient and supportive of the government’s reforms, highlighting the positive changes observed in governance during this period.
Wike emphasized that the protest is merely a political maneuver, rather than a genuine expression of grievances.
“You can see that the planned protest is political and nothing more. We need to be patient with this government,” he stated.
