Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Abdullahi, has declared that Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, will soon be expelled from the party

Speaking in an interview with Arise News, Abdullahi described Wike as a burden to the PDP, stating that his continued membership poses disadvantages to the party’s unity and progress.
“The last time I checked, he (Wike) is still a member of the PDP. He hasn’t come out to denounce his membership, even though many believe his presence is a disadvantage. A lot of people say he is another Albatross to the PDP,” he said.
When asked whether the party would be better off without Wike, Abdullahi said the PDP cannot be held hostage by one individual and that it’s best for Wike to leave.
He further disclosed that the party has received several petitions accusing the former Rivers State governor of anti-party activities. According to him, once the PDP’s disciplinary committee finalizes its review and recommends his expulsion, the party will act swiftly.
“Anyone who constitutes a clog in the wheel of PDP’s progress should leave. The PDP must pull itself together and restore hope to Nigerians. If Nyesom Wike is not to the party’s advantage—which many believe—then he can bid the PDP farewell and do his thing elsewhere.
“But make no mistake, no one person has the capacity to hold the PDP to ransom. We had a committee in place; we’re reviewing its work. Once recommendations are ready, we’ll fire them all,” Abdullahi added.
