Will Smith breaks silence after Jada Pinkett Smith’s explosive revelations

Will Smith has finally spoken following a number of revelations Jada Pinkett Smith made in her upcoming memoir.

Jada revealed the pair secretly split seven years ago and opened up on her estranged relationship with the actor. In the days that followed Jada’s confessions, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air star kept quiet, but he has now revealed his thoughts in a telling email response.

In an interview with the New York Times, Jada spilled even more of her secrets as she continued plugging her book. And now Will joined his wife in commenting on their situation.

He reportedly sent the publication an email response to Jada’s article and claimed it had “kind of woke him up”.

Paraphrasing Will in their piece, the outlet said he has realised Jada is more “resilient, clever and compassionate than he’d understood”.

He went on to say: “When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”

While his words don’t clearly indicate Will’s positioning on his wife’s decision to air their issues, it does appear as though he backs her.

In her confessions over the past days, Jada admitted she and Will haven’t called each other husband and wife in “a long time”.

During a chat with Hoda Kotb she is heard saying she was “really worried” for the I Am Legend star, 55, because she didn’t know what was happening at the Academy Awards when he stormed the stage and slapped Chris Rock following a below-the-belt joke.
