A woman at the centre of a $60,000 dispute has disputed VeryDarkMan’s account of why Peter Okoye contacted him.
She explained that, the singer only reached out because she personally asked him to help her recover the $60,000 she allegedly lost to a sca.m.
She said she was pregnant at the time and had contacted Peter after allegedly losing the money to a scam. Rather than keeping the matter to himself, Peter agreed to help her get VDM involved.
“Guys, I’m going to attach the video right now. You see that Peter, the young guy that scammed, I was the one that called Peter. I was pregnant then, this is my baby,” she said.
The woman explained that she was emotional when she contacted Peter and pleaded with him to speak to VDM on her behalf.
“I was pregnant, I called Peter and was crying of how I was scammed $60,000. Peter said, ‘Okay, he’s going to talk to VDM.’ I begged him to talk to VDM. I’ll attach all the records to this video,” she added.
She therefore questioned the version suggesting that Peter’s attempt to reach VDM was connected to his brother’s situation. In her account, the singer was simply responding to her request for assistance.
She also said that Peter tried to reach VDM but was not given a response but Peter eventually helped her to recovered the money without VeryDarkMan involvement.
“Only for VDM to ignore Peter. Ah! That guy is wicked,” she said.
The woman further reminded VDM that Peter had previously spoken up for him when he was arrested, saying the singer had used his platform to call for his release.
“Peter was one of the people when they arrested VDM that used his platform. Guys, I mean Peter posted on his page for EFCC to free VDM.”
“Peter ah ah nah. VDM not now, now. Not now that this man is, the first time this man is coming out to talk. Allow him to talk now,” she said.
