Two women are facing murder charges after allegedly drugging a male reveller in a Kisii pub, Kenya.

The duo was suspected of spiking a man’s drink in Kisii.

According to the investigators, the suspects overdosed the man with a stupefying substance leading to his death.

The duo, Kajuju Samuel, and Carolyne Kawira, aged 30 and 26 years respectively, fled to Nairobi after the act.

Detectives drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) caught up with them at their hideout in Kasarani, Nairobi.

They had initially dodged the investigators after a manhunt was launched for them. According to the DCI, the goner had met the women at the entertainment spot in Kisii town on July 23.

Witnesses confided in the investigators that the trio had imbibed rounds of cold drinks as they revelled as Samidoh staged his performance. The man then left in the company of the two ladies to his home in Nyanchwa estate; he would later be found dead.

Among the items recovered from the suspects were an assortment of electronic gadgets belonging to the deceased, including a laptop, mobile phone and a flash disk.
