Online personality known as Woodberry has voiced his concerns over Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike’s plans to remove beggars from the streets of Abuja.
On October 23, Wike announced that authorities would begin rounding up beggars starting Monday during the launch of a new access road project in Abuja’s Katampe District.
In response, Woodberry commented that there are more beggars on social media than on the streets, referring to platforms like WhatsApp and Snapchat.
He wrote:
“They are plenty on WhatsApp and Snapchat, sir.”
