Omowunmi, the widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has responded strongly to allegations and claims made by Dayo Ogungbe, who is said to be the lawyer representing Baba Mohbad.
In her reaction, Wunmi rejected the accusations against her and insisted she has evidence to back her position. She also addressed claims surrounding the handling of her late husband’s belongings and estate matters, describing what she experienced on the night Mohbad died.
She said:
“Dayo Ogungbe, I swear to God you will hear from me. Every def@matory word you have said, you will prove it. I promise you.
The night my husband d1ed, his Dad was already asking for the car key, YouTube password, phones, etc. Immediately he stepped into the house, he told his son’s corpse that ‘wo ibi to ba ile aye e de’…A bereaved father, he asked for phones in order to make a transfer. He then walked to my husband’s lawyer to ask for his royalties. Dare him to sue me. I have my evidence”.
She also pushed back against claims that multiple National Identification Numbers (NIN) were linked to her, stating:
“You said you have 5 of my NIN, you will prove it. I have only one NIN. Dayo Ogungbe or whatever your name is, you are not fit to be called a Barrister. You will not go scot free. To those defaming and búlleeyng me, I have become a bone in your throat. Everything you said about my child will not slide. I double dare you to bring this case back. Right now I am healed m33ntally and I have evidence against Baba on the Indomie thing he said and all other def@mation. You also talked about imolenization money, I triple dare you.”
The dispute continues to draw attention as both sides exchange serious allegations involving defamation, estate control, and financial matters linked to the late Mohbad.
