One Samuel Adeboye Adeyeye, known on X as @Swanky0001, has reportedly been sentenced to two years imprisonment for spreading false information concerning the daughter of Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold.
According to reports, the court convicted Adeyeye after he pleaded guilty to sharing the misleading claim online with malicious intent.
The case drew attention after the false information circulated across the Internet, allegedly targeting the singer’s family and causing widespread reactions online.
Reports further stated that the court found him guilty following his admission to the offence, which eventually led to his sentencing.
