Yemi Alade has announced that she will be recording the theme song for the upcoming Nigerian superhero anime series ‘Iyanu’
The announcement was made in a video statement posted on the series’ YouTube channel.
‘Iyanu’ is made based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Nigerian creator and director Roye Okupe.
The series will be seen on Cartoon Network and Max in the US, as well as Showmax in 44 African countries.
The theme song is a collaboration between Yemi Alade, Lion Forge Entertainment, Alcon Sleeping Giant, and lead composer Femi Agunbiade.
This is not Alade’s first collaboration with a major artist, having previously worked with Beyoncé on her ‘Lion King: The Gift’ album.
