Chinese businessman Ross Boss has fired back at social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) after being accused of fraudulent dealings, releasing a video to defend his reputation and share his version of events

The clash began when VDM took to social media to warn Nigerians and his followers not to do business with Ross, despite their previous collaborations in China.

He alleged that Ross’s behavior during their trips raised several red flags and hinted that the businessman might not be trustworthy.

Responding swiftly, Ross dismissed the accusations as baseless and immature, accusing VDM of launching personal attacks without proof.

“You’re too childish, too immature. Ross thought you were a mature person. You attack and defame a boss who’s willing to pay you and arrange everything for you,” he said in his response.

Ross, who deals in fairly used clothes (popularly known as okrika), insisted that he had worked with Nigerian and African buyers for years without a single complaint of fraud.

“Before knowing you, I did business with Nigerian clients for eight years. They won’t stop working with Ross because of one video from you,” he stated. “I don’t know how many of your supporters have bought over $10,000 worth of goods from me, but it’s not more than ten clients. Nobody pays extra because of your name, and no one buys lower-quality items just because you say so.”

He further explained that his connection with VDM brought only a few new customers, most of whom made small purchases.

Addressing another of VDM’s claims, Ross denied being given access to the Canton Fair through the influencer’s influence. The businessman clarified that he independently paid four African associates $100 each to help him gain entry into the trade fair.

“Ross pays everyone who helps me with anything,” he said. “Four African friends took me to the Canton Fair, and I paid each of them $100. You said it’s because of your influence, but even without you, Ross would still pay $100.”

The online exchange between the former allies has since sparked intense debate among fans, with many divided over who to believe.
