Zayn Malik urged fans to prioritize safety during his performance at London’s Eventim Apollo on Tuesday after the crowd became unruly.
The 31-year-old singer, currently on his first solo tour, spoke out as fans near the front were being pushed by those further back.
“If you’re at the back, try not to push because people at the front are getting a little bit squished,” he said.
“We’re all here to have a good time. I’m not going anywhere. Just try not to hurt anybody. Let’s have a good time tonight.”
Zayn’s tour, which follows rescheduled dates after the death of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, continues with sold-out shows in Wolverhampton, Manchester, Leeds, and Newcastle before heading to the U.S.
