2027 Election: Stan Nze warns against voter apathy

Nollywood actor Stan Nze has called on Nigerians not to lose faith in the electoral process as preparations gradually begin ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a message encouraging civic participation, the actor addressed growing concerns among citizens who believe voting has failed to bring meaningful change over the years. According to him, such sentiments should not discourage eligible voters from exercising their democratic rights.

“It’s now or never. Don’t sit on the fence,” Nze said. “We all know the 2027 general election is coming. I hear some people saying, ‘Voting is not working, we’re tired, we’ve been voting for years and nothing has changed.’ Don’t let them defeat you mentally.”

The actor stressed that Nigerians must remain committed to participating in the electoral process rather than becoming indifferent to it.

He noted that just as people make time for other important aspects of their lives, they should also prioritize voting.

“We can’t keep planning to go to church every Sunday and not plan to vote in the 2027 election,” he said. “Your vote can make a difference.”

Nze further urged citizens to take responsibility for ensuring their votes count, emphasizing that the election period requires active participation rather than complacency.

“This is not the time to sit on the fence. This is not the time to slack. Do everything you know how to do to make sure that your one vote counts. It’s time to vote and defend your vote,” he added.

He also encouraged collective action among voters, particularly in areas where security concerns may discourage participation.

“Everybody needs to come together. If you think your area is not safe enough, gather with other voters at your polling unit,” Nze said.
