The Lagos State Police have arrested Ayodeji Busari for allegedly pushing his 47-year-old younger brother to his death during a fight in the Iba area.
The incident was reported to the police on August 24 by an unnamed individual.
Police spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin explained that the report indicated the fight occurred on August 23 at around 11:00 p.m. During the altercation, Busari allegedly pushed his brother, causing him to fall and hit his head on a pavement. Hundeyin stated, “The victim became unconscious and was rushed to Igando General Hospital for treatment, but was later confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.”
Police detectives visited the scene, took photographs, and moved the body to Mainland General Hospital Mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy. Hundeyin added, “The case file and suspect are to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department Panti-Yaba for investigation.”
