Around 40 people are believed to be trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building in Sabon Lugbe, a suburb of Abuja
The collapse occurred around 5pm on Saturday while victims were still inside.
Videos shared on social media, particularly on X, show residents working to rescue those trapped beneath the debris.
At the time of this report, it was unclear if emergency services had arrived to assist with the rescue efforts.
