Authorities in Gaza have concluded their search at a hospital in the southern part of the strip, revealing 392 bod!es, some still in surgical attire, were found in mass graves.
These graves were uncovered following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area earlier in the month.
The Palestinian Civil Defense has identified 165 of the bodies so far, with efforts ongoing to determine the identities of the remaining 227.
While the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) denied involvement in burying bodies in mass graves, claiming that Palestinians in Gaza had dug one grave months prior, the Gaza Civil Defense admitted to burying around 100 bodies in the hospital’s grounds before the IDF operation.
Disturbingly, reports suggest that some bodies were buried, then later exhumed and reburied collectively. Families returning to the hospital grounds found their loved ones’ remains disturbed, leading to anguish and distress.
Calls for investigation have intensified, with the United Nations and Amnesty International urging for independent inquiries into the mass graves at Nasser Hospital and another hospital in Gaza.
