He added a second goal with a powerful header before Austria’s Michael Gregoritsch pulled one back. Turkey’s defense held strong, and goalkeeper Gunok made a crucial save to preserve the lead.
Despite Austria’s dominance in possession and shots, Turkey’s clinical finishing and solid defense earned them a quarter-final berth against the Netherlands in Berlin on Saturday.
This marks Turkey’s third Euro quarter-final appearance and fourth major tournament quarter-final overall.
