Youths in Damaturu, Yobe State, have vandalized billboards welcoming President Bola Tinubu for the launch of the Yobe Agricultural Empowerment Programme
The event, attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, aimed to enhance food security and diversify the economy through agriculture.
President Tinubu emphasized agriculture’s crucial role in national development and security.
However, a video shows angry youths destroying a billboard featuring the President, Vice President, and Governor Mai Buni, with a message thanking the President.
This incident comes amid plans for a 10-day nationwide hunger and hardship protest, with organizers citing worsening citizen plight.
The federal government has acknowledged the planned protest, stating they are taking necessary actions to stop it, and have identified sponsors and potential flashpoints through the National Orientation Agency.
