The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the de.ath of a 58-year-old man during a dry fasting ritual
The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, shared the information with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to Hundeyin, the incident occurred in the Alagbado area of the state on Monday around 6:00 a.m.
The deceased’s younger brother, whose name was also not disclosed, reported the incident to the Alagbado Police Division at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
The younger brother explained that his sibling passed away while allegedly undergoing a 19-day dry fast.
Hundeyin added, “No foul play is suspected, and the family has requested to take the body for burial.”
