Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has joined other Nigerians in reacting to Pastor Abel Damina’s comments on tithing for Christians.
During a podcast, Damina shared that he once encouraged Christians to give tithes. However, he has since changed his view, now stating that tithing is a way for pastors to collect money from church members.

Damina supported his argument by pointing out that Jesus neither paid nor received tithes in the Bible.
His remarks have triggered mixed reactions, especially among Christians. VDM, known for defending trending topics, has expressed support for Damina.
In response to tweets from Christians criticizing Damina, VDM defended the pastor as an anointed man of God who understands the truth about his fellow ministers.
VDM also mentioned that he might consider attending Damina’s church but emphasized that his children would not contribute money there.
“My children wouldn’t put one naira in church; we create an altar, burn the cow or goat, and everything will go up,” he said.
