The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has explained that he was unable to honor the police invitation on Tuesday, August 20, due to prior commitments

This was communicated through his legal representatives, Falana & Falana’s Chambers.

In a letter addressed to the Inspector-General of Police and signed by Samuel Ogala, Esq, the law firm stated that Ajaero received the invitation letter only on Monday and had a prior engagement that could not be rescheduled.

The letter also requested more information about the allegations against Ajaero, which include Criminal Conspiracy, Terrorism Financing, Treasonable Felony, Subversion, and Cybercrime.

The law firm cited Section 36 of the Nigerian Constitution, emphasizing Ajaero’s right to be fully informed of the charges brought against him.
