The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Vincent Upkpai, for allegedly k!lling his neighbour, Gloria, and her son, following a dispute over cleaning in the Elemoro area of Lagos
It was learned that the argument between Vincent and Gloria escalated into fatal violence on September 15, 2024, leading to the killing of both the woman and her young son.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the k!llings after receiving an emergency report at 10:50p.m., from concerned residents.
Providing details on the case, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Benjamin Hundeyin, said: “About 10:50p.m., on September 15, 2024, information was received at the Elemoro Division that one Vincent Upkpai had k!lled his neighbour, Gloria, and her son during an argument over cleaning duties. The suspect went on to place Gloria’s body in a large ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag after the fatal assault.”
Hundeyin added, “The corpses have been deposited at Epe General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.”
Meanwhile, the police have launched a full investigation into the matter, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to establish the full circumstances behind the horrific crime.
